Isaiah 5:5-6

5 And now I will tell you
what I will do to my vineyard.
I will remove aits hedge,
and it shall be devoured;
Or grazed over; compare Exodus 22:5

cI will break down its wall,
and it shall be trampled down.
6I will make it a waste;
it shall not be pruned or hoed,
and dbriers and thorns shall grow up;
eI will also command the clouds
that they rain no rain upon it.

Isaiah 42:24

24Who gave up Jacob to the looter,
and Israel to the plunderers?
Was it not the Lord, against whom we have sinned,
in whose ways they would not walk,
and whose law they would not obey?

Jeremiah 40:2-3
