Isaiah 5:7

Isaiah 51:23

23 ^dand I will put it into the hand of your tormentors,
^ewho have said to you,
‘Bow down, that we may pass over’;
and ^fyou have made your back like the ground
and like the street for them to pass over.”

Isaiah 59:7

7 ^gTheir feet run to evil,
and they are swift to shed innocent blood;
their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;
desolation and destruction are in their highways.

Isaiah 59:13-15

13 transgressing, and denying the Lord,
and turning back from following our God,
^hspeaking oppression and revolt,
conceiving and uttering from the heart lying words.

Judgment and Redemption

14 ⁱJustice is turned back,
and righteousness stands far away;
for truth has stumbled in the public squares,
and uprightness cannot enter.
15 Truth is lacking,
and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
The Lord saw it, and it displeased him ^{▼▼Hebrew and it was evil in his eyes}
that there was no justice.

Malachi 3:5

5 “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be ^ka swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those ^lwho oppress the hired worker in his wages, ^mthe widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.
