Isaiah 51:22-23

22Thus says your Lord, the Lord,
your God awho pleads the cause of his people:
Behold, I have taken from your hand bthe cup of staggering;
the bowl of my wrath you shall drink no more;
23 cand I will put it into the hand of your tormentors,
dwho have said to you,
Bow down, that we may pass over’;
and eyou have made your back like the ground
and like the street for them to pass over.”

Jeremiah 50:17

17 fIsrael is a hunted sheep gdriven away by lions. hFirst the king of Assyria idevoured him, and now at last jNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon khas gnawed his bones.

Jeremiah 50:33-34

33Thus says the Lord of hosts: lThe people of Israel are oppressed, and the people of Judah with them. All who took them captive have held them fast; mthey refuse to let them go. 34 nTheir Redeemer is strong; othe Lord of hosts is his name. pHe will surely plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.

Jeremiah 51:33-36

33For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:
qThe daughter of Babylon is like ra threshing floor
at the time when it is trodden;
yet a little while
and sthe time of her harvest will come.”
34 Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon thas devoured me;
he has crushed me;
he has made me an empty vessel;
uhe has swallowed me like va monster;
he has filled his stomach with my delicacies;
he has rinsed me out.
Or  he has expelled me

35The violence done to me and to my kinsmen be upon Babylon,”
let the inhabitant of Zion say.
“My blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea,”
let Jerusalem say.
36Therefore thus says the Lord:
Behold, xI will plead your cause
and take vengeance for you.
yI will dry up her sea
and zmake her fountain dry,
