Or  with the great

and makes intercession for the transgressors.

John 17:9-26

9I am praying for them. wI am not praying for the world but for those xwhom you have given me, for ythey are yours. 10 zAll mine are yours, and yours are mine, and aaI am glorified in them. 11And I am no longer in the world, but abthey are in the world, and acI am coming to you. adHoly Father, aekeep them in your name, afwhich you have given me, agthat they may be one, aheven as we are one. 12 aiWhile I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have ajguarded them, and aknot one of them has been lost except althe son of destruction, amthat the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13But now anI am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have aomy joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 apI have given them your word, and aqthe world has hated them arbecause they are not of the world, asjust as I am not of the world. 15I atdo not ask that you autake them out of the world, but that you avkeep them from awthe evil one.
Or  from evil
16 ayThey are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 azSanctify them

20“I do not biask for these only, but also for those bjwho will believe in me through their word, 21 bkthat they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that blthey also may be in bmus, so that the world bnmay believe that you have sent me. 22 boThe glory that you have given me bpI have given to them, bqthat they may be one even as we are one, 23 brI in them and you in me, bsthat they may become perfectly one, btso that the world may know that you sent me and buloved them even as bvyou loved me. 24Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be bwwith me bxwhere I am, byto see my glory that you have given me because you loved me bzbefore the foundation of the world. 25 caO righteous Father, even though cbthe world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 ccI made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love cdwith which you have loved me may be in them, and ceI in them.”
