Isaiah 53:4-12

4 ^aSurely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
^bsmitten by God, and afflicted.
5 ^cBut he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
^dand with his wounds we are healed.
6 ^eAll we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
^fand the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
^gyet he opened not his mouth;
^hlike a ⁱlamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, ^jwho considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
9 And they made his grave with the wicked
^kand with a rich man in his death,
although ^lhe had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet ^mit was the will of the Lord to crush him;
he has put him to grief; ^{▼▼Or he has made him sick}
^owhen his soul makes ^{▼▼Or when you make his soul} an offering for guilt,
he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
^qthe will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

by his knowledge shall ^sthe righteous one, my servant,
^tmake many to be accounted righteous,
^uand he shall bear their iniquities.
12 ^vTherefore I will divide him a portion with the many, ^{▼▼Or with the great}
^xand he shall divide the spoil with the strong, ^{▼▼Or with the numerous}
because he poured out his soul to death
and was numbered with the transgressors;
^zyet he bore the sin of many,
and makes intercession for the transgressors.

Jeremiah 31:34

34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ ^aafor they shall all know me, ^abfrom the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For ^acI will forgive their iniquity, and ^adI will remember their sin no more.”

Jeremiah 50:20

20 In those days and in that time, declares the Lord, ^aeiniquity shall be sought in Israel, and there shall be none, and sin in Judah, and none shall be found, for ^afI will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.

Daniel 9:24-27

The Seventy Weeks

It shall be built again} with squares and moat, ^aubut in a troubled time. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall ^avbe cut off and shall have nothing. Micah 7:18-19

God’s Steadfast Love and Compassion

18 ^beWho is a God like you, ^bfpardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
^bgfor the remnant of his inheritance?
^bhHe does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.
19 He will ^biagain have compassion on us;
^bjhe will tread our iniquities underfoot.
