Isaiah 56:10

Isaiah 62:6-7

6 On your walls, O Jerusalem,
I have set ^cwatchmen;
all the day and all the night
they shall never be silent.
You who put the Lord in remembrance,

until he establishes Jerusalem

Ezekiel 34:8-10

8 ^eAs I live, declares the Lord God, surely because ^fmy sheep have become a prey, and my sheep have become food for all the wild beasts, since there was no shepherd, and because my shepherds have not searched for my sheep, but the shepherds have fed themselves, and have not fed my sheep, 9 therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: 10 Thus says the Lord God, ^gBehold, I am against the shepherds, and ^hI will require my sheep at their hand and ⁱput a stop to their feeding the sheep. ^jNo longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. ^kI will rescue my sheep from their mouths, that they may not be food for them.

Ezekiel 34:16

Zechariah 11:16

16 For behold, I am raising up in the land a shepherd ^pwho does not care for those being destroyed, or seek the young or heal the maimed or nourish the healthy, but ^qdevours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.

Matthew 24:42-51

42 Therefore, ^rstay awake, for you do not know on what day ^syour Lord is coming. 43 ^tBut know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night ^uthe thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ^vready, for ^wthe Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

45 “Who then is ^xthe faithful and ^ywise servant, ^{▼▼Greek bondservant; also verses 46, 48, 50} whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 ^aaBlessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 47 Truly, I say to you, ^abhe will set him over all his possessions. 48 But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master ^acis delayed,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants ^{▼▼Greek bondservants} and eats and drinks with ^aedrunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come ^afon a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know 51 and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place ^agthere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
