Isaiah 56:10-12

10 aHis watchmen are blind;
they are all without knowledge;
they are all silent bdogs;
they cannot bark,
dreaming, lying down,
loving to slumber.
11 cThe dogs have a mighty appetite;
they never have enough.
But dthey are shepherds who have no understanding;
they have all turned to their own way,
eeach to his own gain, one and all.
12 fCome,” they say, “let me get wine;
let us fill ourselves with strong drink;
gand tomorrow will be like this day,
great beyond measure.”

Ezekiel 34:2-6

2 hSon of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy, and say to them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord God: iAh, shepherds of Israel jwho have been feeding yourselves! kShould not shepherds feed the sheep? 3 lYou eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, myou slaughter the fat ones, but you do not feed the sheep. 4 nThe weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed, othe injured you have not bound up, pthe strayed you have not brought back, qthe lost you have not sought, and with force and rharshness you have ruled them. 5 sSo they were scattered, because there was no shepherd, and tthey became food for all the wild beasts. My sheep were scattered; 6they wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over all the face of the earth, uwith none to search or seek for them.

Zechariah 11:16-17

16For behold, I am raising up in the land a shepherd vwho does not care for those being destroyed, or seek the young or heal the maimed or nourish the healthy, but wdevours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.

17 xWoe to my worthless shepherd,
ywho deserts the flock!
May the sword strike his arm
and zhis right eye!
Let his arm be wholly withered,
his right eye utterly blinded!”

John 10:3

3To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
