Isaiah 57:1-2

Israel’s Futile Idolatry

1 The righteous man perishes,
and no one lays it to heart;
adevout men are taken away,
while no one understands.
For the righteous man is taken away from calamity;
2 bhe enters into peace;
they rest cin their beds
who walk in their uprightness.

Joel 3:13

13 dPut in the sickle,
efor the harvest is ripe.
fGo in, tread,
gfor the winepress is full.
The vats overflow,
for their evil is great.

Matthew 13:30

30Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, " hGather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn."’”

Matthew 13:40-43

40Just as the weeds iare gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at jthe end of the age. 41 kThe Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all lcauses of sin and mall law-breakers, 42 nand throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place othere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43Then pthe righteous will shine like the sun qin the kingdom of their Father. rHe who has ears, let him hear.

Revelation of John 14:13-17

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: sBlessed are the dead twho die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, uthat they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

The Harvest of the Earth

14Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one vlike a son of man, wwith a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15And another angel xcame out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, yPut in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for zthe harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped.

17Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.
