Isaiah 58:1-2

True and False Fasting

1 Cry aloud; do not hold back;
alift up your voice like a trumpet;
bdeclare to my people their transgression,
to the house of Jacob their sins.
2 cYet they seek me daily
and delight to know my ways,
as if they were a nation that did righteousness
and did not forsake the judgment of their God;
they ask of me righteous judgments;
they delight to draw near to God.

Jeremiah 1:17

17But you, ddress yourself for work;
Hebrew gird up your loins
arise, and fsay to them everything that I command you. gDo not be dismayed by them, lest I dismay you before them.

Jeremiah 42:4

19 uBut if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, vbut you wwill have delivered your soul. 20 xAgain, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, yand I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. zBecause you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, aaand his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, abbut his blood I will require at your hand. 21But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul.”
