Isaiah 59:13-15

13transgressing, and denying the Lord,
and turning back from following our God,
aspeaking oppression and revolt,
conceiving and uttering from the heart lying words.

Judgment and Redemption

14 bJustice is turned back,
and righteousness stands far away;
for truth has stumbled in the public squares,
and uprightness cannot enter.
15Truth is lacking,
and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
The Lord saw it, and it displeased him
Hebrew  and it was evil in his eyes

that there was no justice.

Jeremiah 9:5

5Everyone deceives his neighbor,
and no one speaks the truth;
they have taught their tongue to speak lies;
they weary themselves committing iniquity.

Jeremiah 9:8

8 dTheir tongue is a deadly arrow;
eit speaks deceitfully;
with his mouth feach speaks peace to his neighbor,
but in his heart ghe plans an ambush for him.

Micah 6:12

12Your
Hebrew whose
rich men are ifull of violence;
your inhabitants jspeak lies,
and ktheir tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

Ephesians 4:25

25Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you lspeak the truth with his neighbor, for mwe are members one of another.
