Isaiah 6:11

11Then I said, a“How long, O Lord?”
And he said:
Until bcities lie waste
without inhabitant,
and houses without people,
and the land is a desolate waste,

Isaiah 24:1-3

Judgment on the Whole Earth

1 Behold, cthe Lord will empty the earth
Or land; also throughout this chapter
and make it desolate,
and he will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants.
2 eAnd it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest;
as with the slave, so with his master;
as with the maid, so with her mistress;
fas with the buyer, so with the seller;
as with the lender, so with the borrower;
gas with the creditor, so with the debtor.
3 hThe earth shall be utterly empty and utterly plundered;
ifor the Lord has spoken this word.

Jeremiah 4:7

7 jA lion has gone up from his thicket,
a destroyer of nations has set out;
he has gone out from his place
to make your land a waste;
your cities will be ruins
kwithout inhabitant.

Jeremiah 4:20

20 lCrash follows hard on crash;
the whole land is laid waste.
mSuddenly my tents are laid waste,
my curtains in a moment.

Jeremiah 5:17

17 nThey shall eat up your harvest and your food;
they shall eat up your sons and your daughters;
they shall eat up your flocks and your herds;
they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees;
your ofortified cities in which you trust
they shall beat down with the sword.”

Jeremiah 9:11

11 pI will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins,
qa lair of jackals,
rand I will make the cities of Judah a desolation,
without inhabitant.”

Jeremiah 9:19

19For a sound of wailing is heard from Zion:
sHow we are ruined!
We are utterly shamed,
because we have left the land,
because they have cast down our dwellings.’”

Jeremiah 12:10-13

10Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard;
tthey have trampled down my portion;
they have made my pleasant portion
a desolate wilderness.
11They have made it a desolation;
desolate, uit mourns to me.
The whole land is made desolate,
vbut no man lays it to heart.
12Upon all the bare heights in the desert
destroyers have come,
for the sword of the Lord devours
from one end of the land to the other;
no flesh has peace.
13 wThey have sown wheat and have reaped thorns;
xthey have tired themselves out but profit nothing.
They shall be ashamed of their

Ezekiel 7:19

19They cast their silver into the streets, and their gold is like an unclean thing. aaTheir silver and gold are not able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it. abFor it was acthe stumbling block of their iniquity.

Ezekiel 7:21

21And I will give it into the hands of adforeigners for prey, aeand to the wicked of the earth for spoil, and afthey shall profane it.

Zephaniah 1:9

9On that day I will punish
everyone agwho leaps over the threshold,
and those who fill their master’s

house
with violence and fraud.
