and he will lead people across in sandals.
16And there will be aga highway from Assyria
for the remnant that remains of his people,

when they came up from the land of Egypt.

Isaiah 49:21-23

21Then you will say in your heart:
Who has borne me these?
aiI was bereaved and barren,
exiled and put away,
but who has brought up these?
Behold, I was left alone;
from where have these come?’”
22 Thus says the Lord God:
Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations,

akand they shall bring your sons in their arms,
Hebrew  in their bosom

and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
23 amKings shall be your foster fathers,
and their queens your nursing mothers.
anWith their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you,

Then you will know that I am the Lord;
apthose who wait for me aqshall not be put to shame.”

Isaiah 60:22

Micah 2:12

12I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob;

A Remnant Shall Be Delivered

7 Then aythe remnant of Jacob shall be
in the midst of many peoples
like dew from the Lord,
like showers on the grass,
which delay not for a man
nor wait for the children of man.
8And azthe remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations,
in the midst of many peoples,
like a lion among the beasts of the forest,
like a young lion among the flocks of sheep,
bawhich, when it goes through, treads down
and tears in pieces, and there is none to deliver.

Micah 7:18

God’s Steadfast Love and Compassion

18 bbWho is a God like you, bcpardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
bdfor the remnant of his inheritance?
beHe does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.
