Isaiah 6:9

9And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

a“‘Keep on hearing,
Or Hear indeed
but do not understand;
keep on seeing,
Or see indeed
but do not perceive.’

Isaiah 42:18-20

Israel’s Failure to Hear and See

18 Hear, you deaf,
and look, you blind, that you may see!
19Who is blind but my servant,
or deaf as my messenger whom I send?
Who is blind as my dedicated one,
Or  as the one at peace with me

or blind as the servant of the Lord?
20 eHe sees many things, but does not observe them;
fhis ears are open, but he does not hear.

Isaiah 59:10

10 gWe grope for the wall like the blind;
we grope like those who have no eyes;
we stumble at noon as in the twilight,
hamong those in full vigor we are like dead men.

John 8:43

43 iWhy do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot jbear to hear my word.

John 8:47

47 kWhoever is of God hears the words of God. lThe reason why you do not hear them is that myou are not of God.”

Romans 11:7-10

7What then? nIsrael failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest owere hardened, 8as it is written,

pGod gave them a spirit of stupor,
qeyes that would not see
and ears that would not hear,
down to this very day.”
9And David says,

r“Let their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them;
10let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see,
and bend their backs forever.”

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

3And even sif our gospel is veiled, tit is veiled to uthose who are perishing. 4In their case vthe god of this world whas blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing xthe light of ythe gospel of the glory of Christ, zwho is the image of God.
