Isaiah 6:9-10

9And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

a“‘Keep on hearing,
Or Hear indeed
but do not understand;
keep on seeing,
Or see indeed
but do not perceive.’
10 dMake the heart of this people edull,
Hebrew fat

and their ears heavy,
and blind their eyes;
glest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.”

Isaiah 29:9-10

9 Astonish yourselves
Or Linger awhile
and be astonished;
blind yourselves and be blind!
Be drunk, but not with wine;
istagger, but not with strong drink!
10 jFor the Lord has poured out upon you
a spirit of deep sleep,
and has closed your eyes (the prophets),
and covered your heads (the seers).

Matthew 13:14-15

14Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:

k“‘“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
15For this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears lthey can barely hear,
and mtheir eyes they have closed,
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and nunderstand with their heart
and oturn, and I would heal them.’

John 12:39-40

39Therefore they pcould not believe. For again Isaiah said,

40 q“He has blinded their eyes
and rhardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
and I would heal them.”

Acts 28:26-27

26 s“‘Go to this people, and say,
t“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
27 uFor this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears they can barely hear,
and their eyes they have closed;
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their heart
and vturn, and I would heal them.’
