Isaiah 6:9-10

9And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

a“‘Keep on hearing,
Or Hear indeed
but do not understand;
keep on seeing,
Or see indeed
but do not perceive.’
10 dMake the heart of this people edull,
Hebrew fat

and their ears heavy,
and blind their eyes;
glest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.”

Isaiah 42:18-20

Israel’s Failure to Hear and See

18 Hear, you deaf,
and look, you blind, that you may see!
19Who is blind but my servant,
or deaf as my messenger whom I send?
Who is blind as my dedicated one,
Or  as the one at peace with me

or blind as the servant of the Lord?
20 iHe sees many things, but does not observe them;
jhis ears are open, but he does not hear.

Isaiah 44:18-20

18They know not, nor do they discern, for he has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, and their hearts, so that they cannot understand. 19No one considers, nor is there knowledge or discernment to say, “Half of it I burned in the fire; I also baked bread on its coals; I roasted meat and have eaten. And shall I make the rest of it an kabomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?” 20 lHe feeds on mashes; a deluded heart has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself or say, “Is there not na lie in my right hand?”

Matthew 13:14-15

14Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:

o“‘“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
15For this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears pthey can barely hear,
and qtheir eyes they have closed,
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and runderstand with their heart
and sturn, and I would heal them.’

Romans 11:7-10

7What then? tIsrael failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest uwere hardened, 8as it is written,

vGod gave them a spirit of stupor,
weyes that would not see
and ears that would not hear,
down to this very day.”
9And David says,

x“Let their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them;
10let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see,
and bend their backs forever.”

Romans 11:25

The Mystery of Israel’s Salvation

25 yLest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers:
Or  brothers and sisters
aaa partial hardening has come upon Israel, abuntil the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
