Isaiah 63:1-6

The Lord’s Day of Vengeance

1 Who is this who comes from aEdom,
in crimsoned garments from bBozrah,
he who is splendid in his apparel,
cmarching in the greatness of his strength?
“It is I, speaking in righteousness,
mighty to save.”
2 Why is your dapparel red,
and your garments like his ewho treads in the winepress?
3 f“I have trodden the winepress alone,
gand from the peoples no one was with me;
I trod them in my anger
and trampled them in my wrath;
their lifeblood
Or  their juice; also verse 6
spattered on my garments,
and stained all my apparel.
4 iFor the day of vengeance was in my heart,
and my year of redemption
Or the year of my redeemed
had come.
5I looked, but kthere was no one to help;
I was appalled, but there was no one to uphold;
so my own arm brought me salvation,
and my wrath upheld me.
6I trampled down the peoples in my anger;
lI made them drunk in my wrath,
and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.”

Isaiah 66:15-16

and by his sword, with all flesh;
and those slain by the Lord shall be many.

But the stone that struck the image became ua great mountain vand filled the whole earth.

Daniel 2:44-45

44And in the days of those kings wthe God of heaven will set up xa kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. yIt shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and zit shall stand forever, 45just as aayou saw that aba stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that acit broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. A adgreat God has made known to the king what shall be after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”

Zechariah 2:8-9

8For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me
Or he sent me after glory
to the nations who plundered you, affor he who touches you touches agthe apple of his eye:
9Behold, ahI will shake my hand over them, aiand they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then ajyou will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me.

from him althe tent peg,

Zechariah 12:2-6

2Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem apa cup of staggering to aqall the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem arwill also be against Judah. 3 asOn that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. atAll who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And auall the nations of the earth will gather against it. 4 avOn that day, declares the Lord, awI will strike every horse axwith panic, and its rider aywith madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples azwith blindness. 5Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the Lord of hosts, their God.’

6 ba“On that day I will make the clans of Judah bblike a blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves. And bcthey shall devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, while bdJerusalem shall again be inhabited in its place, in Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:9
