Isaiah 63:17

17 O Lord, why do you make us wander from your ways
and ^aharden our heart, so that we fear you not?
^bReturn for the sake of your servants,
the tribes of your heritage.

Ezekiel 20:31

31 When you present your gifts and ^coffer up your children in fire, ^{▼▼Hebrew and make your children pass through the fire} you defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. And ^eshall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? ^fAs I live, declares the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you.

Romans 11:7-10

7 What then? ^gIsrael failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest ^hwere hardened, 8 as it is written,

^jeyes that would not see
and ears that would not hear,
down to this very day.”
9 And David says,

^k“Let their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them;
