Isaiah 64:6-7

6 aWe have all become like one who is unclean,
and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment.
bWe all fade like a leaf,
and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
7 cThere is no one who calls upon your name,
who rouses himself to take hold of you;
for you have hidden your face from us,
and have made us melt in

the hand of our iniquities.

Why Will You Die, Israel?

10“And you, eson of man, say to the house of Israel, Thus have you said: ‘Surely our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and fwe rot away because of them. gHow then can we live?’

Zechariah 3:3-4

3Now hJoshua was standing before the angel, iclothed with filthy garments. 4And the angel said to jthose who were standing before him, kRemove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, lI have taken your iniquity away from you, and mI will clothe you with pure vestments.”

John 8:21

21So he said to them again, nI am going away, and oyou will seek me, and pyou will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”

24I told you that you qwould die in your sins, for runless you believe that sI am he you will die in your sins.”

1 Corinthians 15:17
