Isaiah 65:15

15You shall leave your name to amy chosen bfor a curse,
and the Lord God will put you to death,
but his servants che will call by another name,

Isaiah 66:19-21

19and I will set a sign among them. And from them dI will send survivors to the nations, to eTarshish, fPul, and gLud, who draw the bow, to hTubal and iJavan, jto the coastlands far away, kthat have not heard my fame or seen my glory. And they shall declare my glory among the nations. 20 lAnd they shall bring all your brothers from all the nations mas an offering to the Lord, on horses and in chariots and in litters and on mules and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord. 21 nAnd some of them also I will take for priests and for Levites, says the Lord.

Hosea 3:4

4For the children of Israel oshall dwell many days pwithout king or prince, qwithout sacrifice or rpillar, without sephod or thousehold gods.

Galatians 3:19

19Why then the law? uIt was added because of transgressions, vuntil the offspring should come to whom the promise had been made, and it was wput in place through angels xby an intermediary.

Galatians 3:23

Galatians 4:3-5

3In the same way we also, when we were children, zwere enslaved to the elementary principles

of the world.
4But abwhen the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, acborn adof woman, born aeunder the law, 5 afto redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive agadoption as sons.

Hebrews 7:11-19

Jesus Compared to Melchizedek

11 ahNow if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron? 12For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well. 13For the one of whom these things are spoken belonged to another tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar. 14For it is evident that our Lord was descended aifrom Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.

15This becomes even more evident when another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek, 16who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life. 17For it is witnessed of him,

ajYou are a priest forever,
after the order of Melchizedek.”
18For on the one hand, a former commandment is set aside akbecause of its weakness and uselessness 19(for althe law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, ama better hope is introduced, through which anwe draw near to God.

Hebrews 8:6-13

6But as it is, Christ
Greek he
has obtained a ministry that is apas much more excellent than the old as aqthe covenant arhe mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.
7 asFor if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second.

8For he finds fault with them when he says:
Some manuscripts  For finding fault with it he says to them

auBehold, the days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah,
9not like the covenant that I made with their fathers
on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt.
For they did not continue in my covenant,
and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord.
10 avFor this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws into their minds,
and awwrite them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
11And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor
and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’
for they shall axall know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
12For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
ayand I will remember their sins no more.”
13In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And azwhat is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
