New Heavens and a New Earth

17 For behold, aI create new heavens
and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered
or come into mind.

Isaiah 66:1-2

The Humble and Contrite in Spirit

1 bThus says the Lord:
cHeaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool;
what is the house that you would build for me,
and what is the place of my rest?
2 dAll these things my hand has made,
and so all these things came to be,

declares the Lord.
eBut this is the one to whom I will look:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit
and trembles at my word.

Hebrews 9:9-12

According to this arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered xthat cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper,
10but deal only with yfood and drink and zvarious washings, regulations for the body imposed until the time of reformation.

Redemption Through the Blood of Christ

11But when Christ appeared as a high priest aaof the good things that have come,

then through acthe greater and more perfect tent ( adnot made with hands, that is, not of this creation)
12he aeentered afonce for all into the holy places, not by means of agthe blood of goats and calves but ahby means of his own blood, aithus securing an eternal redemption.

Hebrews 10:8-9

8When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in ajsacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), 9then he added, akBehold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second.

Hebrews 10:19-21

The Full Assurance of Faith

19 alTherefore, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters
since we have confidence to enter anthe holy places by the blood of Jesus,
20by aothe new and living way that he opened for us through apthe curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21and since we have aqa great priest over the house of God,
