New Heavens and a New Earth

17 “For behold, ^aI create new heavens
and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered
or come into mind.

Acts 3:21

21 ^bwhom heaven must receive until the time for ^crestoring all the things about which ^dGod spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.

2 Peter 3:11-13

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, ^ewhat sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 ^fwaiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and ^gthe heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for ^hnew heavens and a new earth ⁱin which righteousness dwells.

Revelation of John 21:1-5

The New Heaven and the New Earth

1 Then I saw ^ja new heaven and a new earth, for ^kthe first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw ^lthe holy city, ^mnew Jerusalem, ⁿcoming down out of heaven from God, ^oprepared ^pas a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, ^qthe dwelling place ^{▼▼Or tabernacle} of God is with man. He will ^sdwell with them, and they will be his people, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts peoples} and God himself will be with them as their God. ^{▼▼Some manuscripts omit as their God} 4 ^vHe will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and ^wdeath shall be no more, ^xneither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

5 And ^yhe who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I ^zam making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for ^aathese words are trustworthy and true.”
