Isaiah 66:10-14

10 aRejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her,
all you who love her;
rejoice with her in joy,
all you who mourn over her;
11that you may nurse and be satisfied
from her consoling breast;
that you may drink deeply with delight
from her glorious abundance.”
Or breast

12 For thus says the Lord:
cBehold, I will extend peace to her like a river,
and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream;
and dyou shall nurse, you shall be carried upon her hip,
and bounced upon her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforts,
so eI will comfort you;
you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14You shall see, and your heart shall rejoice;
fyour bones shall flourish like the grass;
and gthe hand of the Lord shall be known to his servants,
and he shall show his indignation against his enemies.

Isaiah 66:18-22

18“For I know
Septuagint, Syriac; Hebrew lacks  know
their works and their thoughts, and the time is coming
Hebrew  and it is coming
jto gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and shall see my glory,
19and I will set a sign among them. And from them kI will send survivors to the nations, to lTarshish, mPul, and nLud, who draw the bow, to oTubal and pJavan, qto the coastlands far away, rthat have not heard my fame or seen my glory. And they shall declare my glory among the nations. 20 sAnd they shall bring all your brothers from all the nations tas an offering to the Lord, on horses and in chariots and in litters and on mules and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord. 21 uAnd some of them also I will take for priests and for Levites, says the Lord.

22 For as vthe new heavens and the new earth
that I make
shall remain before me, says the Lord,
so wshall your offspring and your name remain.

Jeremiah 31:22-26

22 xHow long will you waver,
yO faithless daughter?
For the Lord has created a new thing on the earth:
a woman encircles a man.”
23Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Once more they shall use these words in the land of Judah and in its cities, zwhen I restore their fortunes:

aa“‘The Lord bless you, abO habitation of righteousness,
acO holy hill!’
24 adAnd Judah and all its cities shall dwell there together, and aethe farmers and those who wander with their flocks. 25For I will afsatisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”

26At this I awoke and looked, and my sleep was pleasant to me.

Jeremiah 32:37-41

37 agBehold, I will gather them from all the countries ahto which I drove them in aimy anger and my wrath and in great indignation. I will bring them back to this place, ajand I will make them dwell in safety. 38 akAnd they shall be my people, and I will be their God. 39 alI will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, amfor their own good and the good of their children after them. 40 anI will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. aoAnd I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. 41 apI will rejoice in doing them good, aqand I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.

Jeremiah 33:15-26

15In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous arBranch to spring up for David, and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. 16In those days Judah will be saved, asand Jerusalem will dwell securely. And this is the name by which it will be called: at‘The Lord is our righteousness.’

17For thus says the Lord: auDavid shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel, 18 avand the Levitical priests shall never lack a man in my presence to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings, and to make sacrifices forever.”

19The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: 20 awThus says the Lord: axIf you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, ayso that day and night will not come at their appointed time, 21 azthen also my covenant with David my servant may be broken, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and my covenant with the Levitical priests my ministers. 22As bathe host of heaven cannot be numbered and bbthe sands of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant, and the Levitical priests who minister to me.”

23The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: 24“Have you not observed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two clans that he chose’? Thus they have despised my people so that they are no longer a nation in their sight. 25Thus says the Lord: bcIf I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed order of heaven and earth, 26then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. bdFor I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”

Ezekiel 34:23-31

23And beI will set up over them one shepherd, bfmy servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd. 24And bgI, the Lord, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them. bhI am the Lord; I have spoken.

The Lord’s Covenant of Peace

25 bi“I will make with them a covenant of peace and bjbanish wild beasts from the land, bkso that they may dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. 26And I will make them and the places all around my hill bla blessing, and bmI will send down the showers in their season; they shall be bnshowers of blessing. 27 boAnd the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase, bpand they shall be secure in their land. And bqthey shall know that I am the Lord, when brI break the bars of their yoke, and bsdeliver them from the hand of those who enslaved them. 28 btThey shall no more be a prey to the nations, bunor shall the beasts of the land devour them. bvThey shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid. 29And I will provide for them bwrenowned plantations so that bxthey shall no more be consumed with hunger in the land, and no longer bysuffer the reproach of the nations. 30And they shall know that bzI am the Lord their God with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, declares the Lord God. 31And you are my sheep, cahuman sheep of my pasture, and I am your God, declares the Lord God.”
