Ezekiel 38:9-23

9You will advance, coming on vlike a storm. You will be wlike a cloud covering the land, you and all your xhordes, and many peoples with you.

10Thus says the Lord God: On that day, ythoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme 11and say, ‘I will go up against zthe land of unwalled villages. I will fall upon aathe quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having no bars or gates,’ 12to seize spoil and carry off plunder, to turn your hand against abthe waste places that are now inhabited, and acthe people who were gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, adwho dwell at the center of the earth. 13 aeSheba and afDedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all agits leaders

will say to you, ‘Have you come to seize spoil? Have you assembled your hosts to carry off plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to seize great spoil?’

14Therefore, aison of man, prophesy, and say to ajGog, Thus says the Lord God: On that day when my people Israel are akdwelling securely, alwill you not know it? 15You will come from your place out of amthe uttermost parts of the north, you and anmany peoples with you, aoall of them riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army. 16You will come up against my people Israel, aplike a cloud covering the land. aqIn the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, arI vindicate my holiness before their eyes.

17Thus says the Lord God: Are you ashe of whom I spoke in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel, who in those days prophesied for years that I would bring you against them? 18But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the Lord God, atmy wrath will be roused in my anger. 19For auin my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day avthere shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 awThe fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, axshall quake at my presence. And aythe mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground. 21 azI will summon a sword against Gog
Hebrew  against him
on all my mountains, declares the Lord God. bbEvery man’s sword will be against his brother.
22With pestilence and bloodshed bcI will enter into judgment with him, and bdI will rain upon him and behis hordes and the many peoples who are with him bftorrential rains and hailstones, bgfire and sulfur. 23So I will show my greatness and my bhholiness and bimake myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then bjthey will know that I am the Lord.

10 bmBeat your plowshares into swords,
and bnyour pruning hooks into spears;
let the weak say, “I am a warrior.”
11 boHasten and come,
all you surrounding nations,
and gather yourselves there.
bpBring down your warriors, O Lord.
12Let the nations stir themselves up
and come up to bqthe Valley of Jehoshaphat;
brfor there I will sit to judge
all the surrounding nations.
13 bsPut in the sickle,
btfor the harvest is ripe.
buGo in, tread,
bvfor the winepress is full.
The vats overflow,
for their evil is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes,
in the valley of decision!
For bwthe day of the Lord is near
in the valley of decision.

Micah 4:11-13

11 Now bxmany nations
are assembled against you,
saying, “Let her be defiled,
and bylet our eyes gaze upon Zion.”
12But bzthey do not know
the thoughts of the Lord;
they do not understand his plan,
that cahe has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor.
13Arise and thresh,
O daughter of Zion,
for I will make your horn iron,
and I will make your hoofs bronze;
you shall beat in pieces many peoples;
and cbshall devote
