Isaiah 8:14-15

14 And he will become a ^asanctuary and ^ba stone of offense and a rock of stumbling to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15 And many ^cshall stumble on it. They shall fall and be broken; they shall be snared and taken.”

1 Corinthians 1:22-23

22 For ^dJews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ ^ecrucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,

1 Peter 2:8

8 and

^f“A stone of stumbling,
and a rock of offense.”
They stumble because they disobey the word, ^gas they were destined to do.
