Isaiah 8:7-10

7therefore, behold, the Lord is bringing up against them athe waters of bthe River, mighty and many, the king of Assyria and all his glory. And it cwill rise over all its channels and go over all its banks, 8and it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass on, dreaching even to the neck, and its eoutspread wings will fill the breadth of your land, fO Immanuel.”

9 Be broken,
Or  Be evil
you peoples, and hbe shattered;
Or dismayed

give ear, all you far countries;
strap on your armor and be shattered;
strap on your armor and be shattered.
10Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing;
speak a word, jbut it will not stand,
for God kis with us.
The Hebrew for  God is with us is Immanuel

Isaiah 10:24-25

24Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “O my people, mwho dwell in Zion, nbe not afraid of the Assyrians when they strike with the rod and lift up their staff against you as othe Egyptians did. 25For pin a very little while my fury will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction.

Isaiah 10:28-32

28 He has come to Aiath;
he has passed through qMigron;
at Michmash he stores rhis baggage;
29they have crossed over sthe pass;
at tGeba they lodge for the night;
uRamah trembles;
vGibeah of Saul has fled.
30Cry aloud, O daughter of wGallim!
Give attention, O Laishah!
O poor xAnathoth!
31Madmenah is in flight;
the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
32This very day he will halt at yNob;
he will shake his fist
at the mount of zthe daughter of Zion,
the hill of Jerusalem.

Isaiah 37:33-35

33Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there or come before it with a shield or aacast up a siege mound against it. 34By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city, declares the Lord. 35 abFor I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for acthe sake of my servant David.”
