13 The people adid not turn to him who struck them,
nor inquire of the Lord of hosts.

Jeremiah 5:3

3O Lord, do not your eyes look for truth?
bYou have struck them down,
but they felt no anguish;
you have consumed them,
but they refused to take correction.
cThey have made their faces harder than rock;
they have refused to repent.

Jeremiah 8:4-5

Sin and Treachery

4 “You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord:
dWhen men fall, do they not rise again?
If one turns away, does he not return?
5Why then has this people eturned away
in perpetual fbacksliding?
gThey hold fast to deceit;
they refuse to return.

Amos 4:10-12

10 “I sent among you a pestilence hafter the manner of Egypt;
I killed your young men with the sword,
and icarried away your horses,
Hebrew along with the captivity of your horses

and kI made the stench of your camp go up into your nostrils;
lyet you did not return to me,”

declares the Lord.
11 “I overthrew some of you,
mas when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,
and you were nas a brand
That is,  a burning stick
plucked out of the burning;
pyet you did not return to me,”

declares the Lord.
12 Therefore thus I will do to you, O Israel;
because I will do this to you,
prepare to meet your God, O Israel!”

Zechariah 1:4

4 qDo not be like your fathers, rto whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, sReturn from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But tthey did not hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.
