Isaiah 9:14-15

14 So the Lord cut off from Israel ^ahead and tail,
palm branch and reed in one day—
15 ^bthe elder and honored man is the head,
and ^cthe prophet who teaches lies is the tail;

Isaiah 10:33-34

33 Behold, the Lord God of hosts
^dwill lop ^ethe boughs with terrifying power;
the great in height will be hewn down,
and the lofty will be brought low.
34 He will cut down ^fthe thickets of the forest with an axe,
and ^gLebanon will fall by the Majestic One.
