Isaiah 9:15-17

15 athe elder and honored man is the head,
and bthe prophet who teaches lies is the tail;
16for those who guide this people have been leading them astray,
and those who are guided by them are swallowed up.
17Therefore the Lord does not crejoice over their young men,
and has no compassion on their fatherless and widows;
for everyone is dgodless and an evildoer,
and every mouth speaks efolly.
Or  speaks disgraceful things

gFor all this his anger has not turned away,
and his hand is stretched out still.

Jeremiah 23:25-32

25I have heard what the prophets have said hwho prophesy lies in my name, saying, i‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed!’ 26How long shall there be lies in the heart of jthe prophets who prophesy lies, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart, 27who think to make my people forget my name kby their dreams that they tell one another, even as their lfathers forgot my name for Baal? 28 mLet the prophet who has a dream ntell the dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. oWhat has straw in common with wheat? declares the Lord. 29 pIs not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and qlike a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? 30 rTherefore, behold, I am against the prophets, declares the Lord, who steal my words from one another. 31Behold, I am against the prophets, declares the Lord, who use their tongues and declare, ‘declares the Lord.’ 32Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, declares the Lord, and who tell them and slead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, when tI did not send them or charge them. So they do not profit this people at all, declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 28:15-17

15And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah, uthe Lord has not sent you, vand you have made this people trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, wbecause you have uttered rebellion against the Lord.’”

17In that same year, in the seventh month, the prophet Hananiah died.

Jeremiah 29:31-32

31Send to all the exiles, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord concerning xShemaiah of Nehelam: Because yShemaiah had prophesied to you zwhen I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie, 32therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish aaShemaiah of Nehelam and his descendants. He shall not have anyone living among this people, aband he shall not see the good that I will do to my people, declares the Lord, acfor he has spoken rebellion against the Lord.’”

Ezekiel 13:22
