Ch 9:1 in Hebrew
bThe people cwho walked in darkness
have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of ddeep darkness,
on them has light shone.

Isaiah 42:6-7

6I am the Lord; eI have called you
The Hebrew for  you is singular; four times in this verse
in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you gas a covenant for the people,
ha light for the nations,
7 ito open the eyes that are blind,
to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
jfrom the prison those who sit in darkness.

Isaiah 49:6

6he says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob
and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
kI will make you las a light for the nations,
that mmy salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

Isaiah 60:1-3

The Future Glory of Israel

1 nArise, shine, for your light has come,
and othe glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.
3 pAnd nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Isaiah 60:19

19 qThe sun shall be no more
your light by day,
nor for brightness shall the moon
give you light;

but the Lord will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory.
Or  your beauty

Matthew 4:16

16 tthe people dwelling in darkness
have seen a great light,
and for those dwelling in the region and ushadow of death,
on them a light has dawned.”

Acts 13:47-48

47 vFor so the Lord has commanded us, saying,

w“‘I have made you xa light for the Gentiles,
that you may ybring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
48And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and zglorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Acts 28:28
