Isaiah 9:3-6

3 ^aYou have multiplied the nation;
you have increased its joy;
they rejoice before you
as with ^bjoy at the harvest,
as they ^care glad ^dwhen they divide the spoil.
4 ^eFor the yoke of his burden,
^fand the staff for his shoulder,
the rod of his oppressor,
you have broken as ^gon the day of Midian.
5 ^hFor every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult
and every garment rolled in blood
will be burned as fuel for the fire.
6 ⁱFor to us a child is born,
to us ^ja son is given;
^kand the government shall be ^lupon ^{▼▼Or is upon} his shoulder,
and his name shall be called ^{▼▼Or is called}
Wonderful ^oCounselor, ^pMighty God,
^qEverlasting ^rFather, Prince of ^sPeace.
