Isaiah 9:6-7

6 aFor to us a child is born,
to us ba son is given;
cand the government shall be dupon
Or is upon
his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Or is called

Wonderful gCounselor, hMighty God,
iEverlasting jFather, Prince of kPeace.
7Of the increase of his government and of peace
lthere will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
mwith justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
nThe zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Isaiah 11:1-5

The Righteous Reign of the Branch

1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of oJesse,
and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
2And pthe Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.
qHe shall not judge by rwhat his eyes see,
or decide disputes by swhat his ears hear,
4but twith righteousness he shall judge the poor,
and decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
and he shall ustrike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and vwith the breath of his lips whe shall kill the wicked.
5Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist,
and xfaithfulness the belt of his loins.

Isaiah 11:10

10In that day ythe root of zJesse, who shall stand as aaa signal for the peoples—of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious.

Isaiah 35:4-6

4Say to those who have an anxious heart,
“Be strong; fear not!
abBehold, your God
will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God.
He will come and save you.”
5 acThen the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf unstopped;
6 adthen shall the lame man leap like a deer,
and the tongue of the mute sing for joy.
aeFor waters break forth in the wilderness,
and streams in the desert;
