Isaiah 9:7

7Of the increase of his government and of peace
athere will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
bwith justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
cThe zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Isaiah 49:5-10

5 dAnd now the Lord says,
he ewho formed me from the womb to be his servant,
to bring Jacob back to him;
and that Israel might be gathered to him—
for fI am honored in the eyes of the Lord,
and my God has become my strength
6he says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob
and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
gI will make you has a light for the nations,
that imy salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
7 Thus says the Lord,
jthe Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One,
kto one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation,
the servant of rulers:
lKings shall see and arise;
princes, and they shall prostrate themselves;
because of the Lord, who is faithful,
the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”

The Restoration of Israel

8 Thus says the Lord:
m“In a ntime of favor I have answered you;
in a day of salvation I have helped you;
I will keep you oand give you
as a covenant to the people,
to establish the land,
pto apportion the desolate heritages,
9 qsaying to the prisoners, ‘Come out,’
to those who are in darkness, ‘Appear.’
rThey shall feed along the ways;
on all bare heights shall be their pasture;
10 sthey shall not hunger or thirst,
neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them,
for he who has pity on them twill lead them,
and by springs of water will guide them.

Isaiah 52:13-15

He Was Pierced for Our Transgressions

13 Behold, umy servant shall act wisely;
Or  shall prosper

he shall be high and lifted up,
and shall be exalted.
14As many were astonished at you—
whis appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance,
and his form beyond that of the children of mankind
15so xshall he sprinkle
Or startle
many nations;
zkings shall shut their mouths because of him,
aafor that which has not been told them they see,
and that which they have not heard they understand.

Isaiah 53:2-12

2For he grew up before him like a young plant,
aband like a root out of dry ground;
ache had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
3 adHe was despised and rejected
Or forsaken
by men,
a man of sorrows,
Or pains; also verse 4
and acquainted with
Or  and knowing
grief;
Or sickness; also verse 4

and as one from whom men hide their faces
Or  as one who hides his face from us

he was despised, and ajwe esteemed him not.
4 akSurely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
alsmitten by God, and afflicted.
5 amBut he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
anand with his wounds we are healed.
6 aoAll we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
apand the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
aqyet he opened not his mouth;
arlike a aslamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
8By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, atwho considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
9And they made his grave with the wicked
auand with a rich man in his death,
although avhe had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet awit was the will of the Lord to crush him;
he has put him to grief;
Or  he has made him sick

aywhen his soul makes
Or  when you make his soul
an offering for guilt,
he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
bathe will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see
Masoretic Text; Dead Sea Scroll  he shall see light
and be satisfied;
by his knowledge shall bcthe righteous one, my servant,
bdmake many to be accounted righteous,
beand he shall bear their iniquities.
12 bfTherefore I will divide him a portion with the many,
Or  with the great

bhand he shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Or  with the numerous

because he poured out his soul to death
and was numbered with the transgressors;
bjyet he bore the sin of many,
and makes intercession for the transgressors.

John 17:4-5

4I bkglorified you on earth, blhaving accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5And now, Father, bmglorify me in your own presence with the glory bnthat I had with you bobefore the world existed.

Hebrews 12:2-4

2looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, bpwho for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising bqthe shame, and bris seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
