Testing of Your Faith

2 aCount it all joy, my brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church; also verses 16, 19

1 Peter 1:6-7

6In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by dvarious trials, 7so that ethe tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes fthough it is tested by gfire—may be found to result in hpraise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Revelation of John 2:10

10Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, ithat you may be tested, and for jten days kyou will have tribulation. lBe faithful munto death, and I will give you nthe crown of life.
