James 1:3-4

3for you know that athe testing of your faith bproduces steadfastness. 4And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be cperfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James 5:7

Patience in Suffering

7Be patient, therefore, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters; also verses 9, 10, 12, 19
until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives ethe early and the late rains.

James 5:10-11

10As an example of suffering and patience, brothers, take fthe prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of gthe steadfastness of Job, and you have seen hthe purpose of the Lord, how ithe Lord is compassionate and merciful.

1 Peter 2:19-20

19For this is a gracious thing, when, jmindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. 20For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But kif when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God.

2 Peter 1:6

6and knowledge with self-control, and self-control lwith steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness,

Revelation of John 13:10

10 mIf anyone is to be taken captive,
to captivity he goes;
nif anyone is to be slain with the sword,
with the sword must he be slain.
