James 1:5-6

5 ^aIf any of you lacks wisdom, ^blet him ask God, ^cwho gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But ^dlet him ask in faith, ^ewith no doubting, for the one who doubts is like ^fa wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

1 John 5:14-15

14 And this is ^gthe confidence that we have toward him, that ^hif we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
