Warning Against Worldliness
1What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions ▼▼Greek pleasures; also verse 3
are eat war within you? ▼▼Greek in your members
James 4:5-6
5Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit gthat he has made to dwell in us”? 6But hhe gives more grace. Therefore it says, i“God opposes the proud but jgives grace to the humble.”3 John 9-10
9I have written something to the church, but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, does not acknowledge our authority. 10So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church.
