James 4:6-10

6 But ^ahe gives more grace. Therefore it says, ^b“God opposes the proud but ^cgives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. ^dResist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 ^eDraw near to God, and he will draw near to you. ^fCleanse your hands, you sinners, and ^gpurify your hearts, ^hyou double-minded. 9 ⁱBe wretched and mourn and weep.
