Jeremiah 1:11-14

11 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ^a“Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see an almond ^{▼▼ Almond sounds like the Hebrew for watching (compare verse 12)} branch.” 12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

13 The word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see ^ca boiling pot, facing away ^dfrom the north.” 14 Then the Lord said to me, ^e“Out of the north disaster ^{▼▼The Hebrew word can mean evil, harm, or disaster, depending on the context; so throughout Jeremiah} shall be let loose upon all the inhabitants of the land.

Amos 7:8

8 And the Lord said to me, ^g“Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,

“Behold, I am setting ^ha plumb line
in the midst of my people Israel;
ⁱI will never again pass by them;

Zechariah 4:2
