12Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

Jeremiah 51:33

33For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:
aThe daughter of Babylon is like ba threshing floor

Ezekiel 7:2-12

2“And you, dO son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: eAn end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

3Now gthe end is upon you, and hI will send my anger upon you; iI will judge you according to your ways, and I will punish you for all your abominations. 4 jAnd my eye will not spare you, nor will I have pity, but kI will punish you for your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. lThen you will know that I am the Lord.

5Thus says the Lord God: Disaster mafter disaster!

Behold, it comes.
6 oAn end has come; the end has come; it has awakened against you. Behold, it comes. 7 pYour doom
The meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain; also verse 10
has come to you, O inhabitant of the land. rThe time has come; the day is near, a day of tumult, and not sof joyful shouting on the mountains.
8Now I will soon tpour out my wrath upon you, and uspend my anger against you, vand judge you according to your ways, and I will punish you for all your abominations. 9 wAnd my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. xThen you will know that I am the Lord, who strikes.

10 yBehold, the day! Behold, it comes! zYour doom has come; aathe rod has blossomed; pride has budded. 11 abViolence has grown up into aca rod of wickedness. adNone of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them.
The meaning of this last Hebrew sentence is uncertain
12 afThe time has come; the day has arrived. Let not agthe buyer rejoice, nor ahthe seller mourn, aifor wrath is upon all their multitude.
Or abundance; also verses 13, 14

Ezekiel 12:22-23

22Son of man, akwhat is this proverb that you
The Hebrew for  you is plural
have about the land of Israel, saying, am‘The days grow long, and every vision comes to nothing’?
23Tell them therefore, ‘Thus says the Lord God: I will put an end to this proverb, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.’ But say to them, anThe days are near, and the fulfillment

Ezekiel 12:27

27Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, ap‘The vision that he sees is aqfor many days from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’

Amos 8:2
