Jeremiah 25:6-26

6 cDo not go after other gods to serve and worship them, dor provoke me to anger ewith the work of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.’ 7 fYet you have not listened to me, declares the Lord, gthat you might provoke me to anger hwith the work of your hands to your own harm.

8Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Because you have not obeyed my words, 9 ibehold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the Lord, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, jmy servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. 17So I took the cup from the Lord’s hand, aband made all the nations to whom the Lord sent me drink it: 18 acJerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and officials, adto make them a desolation and a waste, a hissing and a curse, as at this day; 19 aePharaoh king of Egypt, his servants, his officials, all his people, 20and afall the mixed tribes among them; all the kings of agthe land of Uz and all the kings of ahthe land of the Philistines ( aiAshkelon, ajGaza, Ekron, and the remnant of akAshdod); 21 alEdom, amMoab, and the sons of anAmmon; 22all the kings of aoTyre, all the kings of apSidon, and the kings of the coastland across aqthe sea; 23 arDedan, asTema, atBuz, and all who cut authe corners of their hair; 24all the avkings of Arabia and all the kings of awthe mixed tribes who dwell in the desert; 25all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of axElam, and all the kings of ayMedia; 26all the kings of azthe north, far and near, one after another, and all the kingdoms of the world that are on the face of the earth. Every head was made bald, and every shoulder was rubbed bare, yet neither he nor his army got anything from Tyre to pay for the labor that he had performed against her. 19Therefore thus says the Lord God: boBehold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; bpand he shall carry off its wealth
