Jeremiah 25:26-29

27 “Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ^mDrink, be drunk and vomit, fall and rise no more, because of ⁿthe sword that I am sending among you.’

28 “And if they refuse to accept the cup from your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: ^oYou must drink! 29 For behold, ^pI begin to work disaster at the city that is called by my name, and shall you go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, ^qfor I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, declares the Lord of hosts.’

Jeremiah 50:7-11

38 ^awA drought against her waters,
that they may be dried up!
^axFor it is a land of images,
and they are mad over idols.
39 ^ay“Therefore wild beasts shall dwell with hyenas in Babylon, and ostriches shall dwell in her. She shall never again have people, nor be inhabited for all generations. 40 ^azAs when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring cities, declares the Lord, ^baso no man shall dwell there, and no son of man shall sojourn in her.

Jeremiah 51:34-37

34 “Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon ^bbhas devoured me;
he has crushed me;
he has made me an empty vessel;
^bche has swallowed me like ^bda monster;
he has filled his stomach with my delicacies;

35 The violence done to me and to my kinsmen be upon Babylon,”
