Jeremiah 12:4

4 aHow long will the land mourn
and the grass of every field wither?
bFor the evil of those who dwell in it
cthe beasts and the birds are swept away,
because they said, “He will not see our latter end.”

Jeremiah 12:10

10Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard;
dthey have trampled down my portion;
they have made my pleasant portion
a desolate wilderness.

Jeremiah 14:6

6 eThe wild donkeys stand on the bare heights;
they pant for air like jackals;
their eyes fail
because there is no vegetation.

Jeremiah 23:10

10 fFor the land is full of adulterers;
gbecause of the curse hthe land mourns,
and ithe pastures of the wilderness are dried up.
jTheir course is evil,
and their might is not right.

Joel 1:10-12

10The fields are destroyed,
kthe ground mourns,
because lthe grain is destroyed,
mthe wine dries up,
the oil languishes.
11 nBe ashamed,
The Hebrew words for  dry up and  be ashamed in verses 10–12, 17 sound alike
O tillers of the soil;
wail, O vinedressers,
for the wheat and the barley,
pbecause the harvest of the field has perished.
12The vine dries up;
qthe fig tree languishes.
Pomegranate, palm, and apple,
all the trees of the field are dried up,
and rgladness dries up
from the children of man.
