Set camps also against it, nand plant battering rams against it all around. 3And you, take an iron griddle, and place it as an iron wall between you and the city; oand set your face toward it, pand let it be in a state of siege, and press the siege against it. This is qa sign for the house of Israel.

5For I assign to you a number of days, t390 days, uequal to the number of the years of their punishment. vSo long shall you bear wthe punishment of the house of Israel. 6And when you have completed these, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side, and xbear ythe punishment of the house of Judah. zForty days I assign you, a day for each year. 7 aaAnd you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, abwith your arm bared, and you shall prophesy against the city. 8And behold, acI will place cords upon you, so that you cannot turn from one side to the other, till you have completed adthe days of your siege.

Jerusalem Will Be Destroyed

1“And you, bcO son of man, take a bdsharp sword. Use it as bea barber’s razor and bfpass it over your head and your beard. Then take balances for weighing and divide the hair. 2 bgA third part you shall burn in the fire bhin the midst of the city, biwhen the days of the siege are completed.
