Jeremiah 14:15

15Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although aI did not send them, and who say, bSword and famine shall not come upon this land’: cBy sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

Jeremiah 23:16-17

16Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, dfilling you with vain hopes. eThey speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord. 17They say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord, f‘It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who gstubbornly follows his own heart, they say, hNo disaster shall come upon you.’”

Jeremiah 23:21

21 i“I did not send the prophets,
yet they ran;
I did not speak to them,
yet they prophesied.

Jeremiah 23:32

32Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, declares the Lord, and who tell them and jlead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, when kI did not send them or charge them. So they do not profit this people at all, declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 28:15-17

15And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah, lthe Lord has not sent you, mand you have made this people trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, nbecause you have uttered rebellion against the Lord.’”

17In that same year, in the seventh month, the prophet Hananiah died.

Jeremiah 29:31-32

31Send to all the exiles, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord concerning oShemaiah of Nehelam: Because pShemaiah had prophesied to you qwhen I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie, 32therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish rShemaiah of Nehelam and his descendants. He shall not have anyone living among this people, sand he shall not see the good that I will do to my people, declares the Lord, tfor he has spoken rebellion against the Lord.’”

Ezekiel 13:2-6

2 uSon of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, who are prophesying, and say to those vwho prophesy from their own hearts: ‘Hear the word of the Lord!’ 3Thus says the Lord God, Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! 4Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, O Israel. 5 wYou have not gone up into the breaches, or built up a wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in battle in the day of the Lord. 6 xThey have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘Declares the Lord,’ ywhen the Lord has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word.

John 10:9

9I am the door. If anyone enters by me, zhe will be saved and will go in and out and aafind pasture.
