Jeremiah 15:2

2 And when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord:

Jeremiah 21:9

9 He who stays in this city shall die ^bby the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out and ^csurrenders to the Chaldeans who are besieging you shall live ^dand shall have his life as a prize of war.

Ezekiel 5:2

2 ^eA third part you shall burn in the fire ^fin the midst of the city, ^gwhen the days of the siege are completed. And a third part you shall take and strike with the sword all around the city. ^hAnd a third part you shall scatter to the wind, and ⁱI will unsheathe the sword after them.

Ezekiel 6:12

12 ^jHe who is far off shall die of pestilence, and he who is near shall fall by the sword, and he who is left and is preserved shall die of famine. ^kThus I will spend my fury upon them.

Zechariah 13:7-9

The Shepherd Struck

7 “Awake, O sword, against ^lmy shepherd,
against the man who stands next to me,”

declares the Lord of hosts.
^m“Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;
I will turn my hand against the little ones.
8 In the whole land, declares the Lord,
two thirds shall be cut off and perish,
ⁿand one third shall be left alive.
9 And ^oI will put this third into the fire,
and refine them as one refines silver,
and test them as gold is tested.
