Jeremiah 16:5-7

5“For thus says the Lord: aDo not enter the house of mourning, or go to lament or grieve for them, for I have taken away my peace from this people, my steadfast love and mercy, declares the Lord. 6Both great and small shall die in this land. bThey shall not be buried, and no one shall lament for them or ccut himself dor make himself bald for them. 7No one shall ebreak bread for the mourner, to comfort him for the dead, nor shall anyone give him the cup of consolation to drink for his father or his mother.

Jeremiah 22:18

18Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

f“They shall not lament for him, saying,
gAh, my brother!’ or ‘Ah, sister!’
They shall not lament for him, saying,
hAh, lord!’ or ‘Ah, his majesty!’

Jeremiah 25:33

33 i“And those pierced by the Lord on that day shall extend from one end of the earth to the other. jThey shall not be lamented, kor gathered, or buried; lthey shall be dung on the surface of the ground.

Amos 6:9-10

9And mif ten men remain in one house, they shall die. 10And when one’s relative, nthe one who anoints him for burial, shall take him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to him who is in the innermost parts of the house, “Is there still anyone with you?” he shall say, “No”; and he shall say, oSilence! We must not mention the name of the Lord.”
