The Sin of Judah

1“The sin of Judah is written with aa pen of iron; with a point of diamond it is engraved on bthe tablet of their heart, and on cthe horns of their altars, 2while dtheir children remember their altars and their eAsherim, fbeside every green tree and on the high hills,

Jeremiah 17:9

9 The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?

Ezekiel 6:9

9then those of you who escape gwill remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, how hI have been broken over their whoring heart that has departed from me and over their eyes ithat go whoring after their idols. jAnd they will be loathsome in their own sight for the evils that they have committed, for all their abominations.

Ezekiel 11:21

Ezekiel 14:4

4Therefore speak to them and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Any one of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and sets the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to the prophet, nI the Lord will answer him as he comes with the multitude of his idols,

7For any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, owho separates himself from me, taking his idols into his heart and putting the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to a prophet to consult me through him, pI the Lord will answer him myself.

Ezekiel 20:16

16because they rejected my rules and did not walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths; qfor their heart went after their idols.

Ezekiel 36:25

25 rI will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from sall your uncleannesses, and tfrom all your idols uI will cleanse you.

Ephesians 5:5

5For you may be sure of this, that veveryone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous ( wthat is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
