Jeremiah 19:15

15 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, behold, I am bringing upon this city and upon all its towns all the disaster that I have pronounced against it, ^abecause they have stiffened their neck, ^brefusing to hear my words.”

Jeremiah 21:4-10

4 ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ^cBehold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands and with which you are fighting against the king of Babylon and against the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the walls. ^dAnd I will bring them together into the midst of this city. 5 I myself will fight against you ^ewith outstretched hand and strong arm, ^fin anger and in fury and in great wrath. 6 And I will strike down the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast. They shall die of a great pestilence. 7 Afterward, declares the Lord, ^gI will give Zedekiah king of Judah and his servants and the people in this city who survive the pestilence, sword, and famine into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and into the hand of their enemies, into the hand of those who seek their lives. He shall strike them down with the edge of the sword. ^hHe shall not pity them or spare them or have compassion.’

8 “And to this people you shall say: ⁱ‘Thus says the Lord: Behold, ^jI set before you the way of life and the way of death. 9 He who stays in this city shall die ^kby the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out and ^lsurrenders to the Chaldeans who are besieging you shall live ^mand shall have his life as a prize of war. 10 For ⁿI have set my face against this city for harm and ^onot for good, declares the Lord: ^pit shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.’

Jeremiah 25:9

9 ^qbehold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the Lord, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, ^rmy servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, ^sand make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation.

Jeremiah 32:27-31

27 “Behold, I am the Lord, ^tthe God of all flesh. ^uIs anything too hard for me? 28 Therefore, thus says the Lord: ^vBehold, I am giving this city into the hands of the Chaldeans and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall capture it. 29 The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city ^wshall come and set this city on fire and burn it, ^xwith the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal ^yand drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, ^zto provoke me to anger. 30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done nothing but evil in my sight ^aafrom their youth. The children of Israel have done nothing but ^abprovoke me to anger ^acby the work of their hands, declares the Lord. 31 This city has aroused my anger and wrath, from the day it was built to this day, ^adso that I will remove it from my sight
