Jeremiah 2:13

13 for my people have committed two evils:
^athey have forsaken ^bme,
the fountain of ^cliving waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves,
broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Ezekiel 17:13-15

13 ^dAnd he took one of the royal offspring ^{▼▼Hebrew seed} ^fand made a covenant with him, ^gputting him under oath ( ^hthe chief men of the land he had taken away), 14 that the kingdom might be humble and not lift itself up, and keep his covenant that it might stand. 15 ⁱBut he rebelled against him by sending his ambassadors ^jto Egypt, that they might give him horses and a large army. ^kWill he thrive? Can one escape who does such things? Can he ^lbreak the covenant and yet escape?
