2 “Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem, Thus says the Lord,

“I remember the devotion of ^ayour youth,
your love ^bas a bride,
^chow you followed me in the wilderness,
^din a land not sown.

Ezekiel 16:3-7

3 and say, Thus says the Lord God to Jerusalem: Your origin and your birth are of the land of the Canaanites; your father was an ^eAmorite and your mother a ^fHittite. 4 And as for your birth, ^gon the day you were born your cord was not cut, nor were you washed with water to cleanse you, nor rubbed with salt, nor wrapped in swaddling cloths. 5 No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you out of compassion for you, ^hbut you were cast out on the open field, for you were abhorred, ⁱon the day that you were born.

6 “And when I passed by you and saw you wallowing ^jin your blood, I said to you ^kin your blood, ‘Live!’ I said to you ^lin your blood, ‘Live!’ 7 ^mI made you flourish like a plant of the field. And you grew up and became tall ⁿand arrived at full adornment. Your breasts were formed, and your hair had grown; yet ^oyou were naked and bare.

Ezekiel 16:43

43 Because you have not remembered ^pthe days of your youth, but have enraged me with all these things, therefore, behold, ^qI have returned your deeds upon your head, declares the Lord God. Have you not ^rcommitted lewdness in addition to all your abominations?
